Rev. Derrick Weston is a native of Southwest PA who studied film at the University of Pittsburgh. He received his Masters of Divinity from San Francisco Theological Seminary and then served as the Mission Advancement Manager for the Pittsburgh Project, an urban community development ministry on the city’s North side. Derrick and his wife Marnie have two children, Thomas age 2 and Sophia who was born this past May. Rev. Weston also serves as the director of the Coretta Scott King Center at Antioch College.

was organized in 1855 and the original building erected in 1860 with two entrances through large Gothic doors off Walnut Street. Originally the congregation faced east towards Xenia Avenue with the choir seated at the back. The church was renovated in 1910 which included turning the congregation to face West and adding another portion of the building on the east side containing the organ in the loft, an entrance off Xenia Avenue, a bell tower and a well-lighted room for study, counseling and prayer.
